According to the app I just used, a Western Screech Owl is what's been annoying the piss out of me when I'm trying to fall asleep. 🙃

It may have taken me months but I'm finally listening to "Copy/Paste" on vinyl from Record Store Day in November. And? IT'S FUCKING PERFECTION. 💜 #Garbage #ShirleyIsMyQueen

Creative friends, if you have a chance, try giving this book a read.

I read it last year, but just got a copy to help get through the next 4 years. Not everything will be relevant, but it gave me inspiration & ideas for finding creativity & hope in a climate that just wants to beat us down.

My second read of the year. (A reread, but 20 years means I forgot a lot of it...)

My current bus read.

Well, current until I finished it a minute ago. I definitely want to read the sequels.

This is my current read while riding the bus to work. Purchased from my favorite nonprofit bookstore, of course. #books #booksky

If it's a day I'm at work, there's a good chance I will spend money I shouldn't on more books.

I need to get some stuff done for my last craft market of the year before heading to work in ~2 hours.

Current status: Sitting on my bed, petting the cats.

I'm reading far too many books, but these are the current focus:

"When Language Runs Dry: An Anthology for People with Chronic Pain and Their Allies" ed. by claire barrera & Meredith Butner

"The Devil's Details: A History of Footnotes" by Chuck Zerby

"Bones: Inside and Out" by Roy A. Meals, MD

Just finished pet-sitting for a week. The cats & I both survived. They even acted normal-ish! (See 2nd photo.)

So glad the parents & I figured out how to get meds into Queso with food - squirting them into his mouth was NOT going well. (He had a surprise!UTI.)

My haul from the Portland Zine Symposium yesterday. Super excited about the Moomin shirt & finally getting a copy of the "When Language Runs Dry" anthology. And saying hi to Alex Chiu & Erika Rier was a great bonus! 💜

My housemate knows me far too well and sent me this. It's painfully accurate. 😅
