IDK who needs to hear this, but you're allowed to like one part of a band's discography and not the other. You don't have to know the whole history of a band to be a fan. You can just simply LIKE the music. You don't need to know names of every album or song or band member. You can just LIKE music.

This is so true! I try to only use Spotify to sample new (or new to me) music. If I like it enough, I buy a CD or digital download. Bandcamp or artist direct website even if it costs a little more.
Remember to support your favorite artists as only a few actual make enough to live on from your streaming.
