Also mostly working on Game Gear now. In colour! ❤️
The glitched tiles are from DMG window handling. GG doesn't have those, I need to handle the HUD differently.

Updates for my Handheld project (I really need a proper name). I now store sprite metadata (tile locations, tile ids, tile attributes) in a lookup table, so I can draw sprites easier and more efficiently.
Also fuck yeah, SGB Border!

Fancy updates. Characters now pull their inputs from either player input (the black box) or a predefined sequence of button presses (the jumping box).
I can now make boss characters playable by just flipping a bit in their config.

Something more visual this time. I added a fancy background, with parallax scrolling. Ignore the colored bar below the background, I fix it later. Also a fancier hud.

I've been busy over the holidays. I managed to animate a somewhat decent(?) Belmont power walk and get it working in game. Really happy that I got that working. ❤️
I also smoothed out the chunk transitions and added a lovely tree.
