When I started hiking here it took me two weeks of working up to being able to do the whole Snark trail. Now this is my "easy" route. #trail

We are having trouble coming up with a name for New Kitty. We keep calling him Max (RIP). Oscar, Amos, and Seven have not stuck. We're now working on Cato.

I am pretty skeptical about the "graphene" stage of this gas station car wash.

Today's trails: Wonder and Wasabi (breaking the Alice theme this time). Wasabi is primarily a downhill mountain bike trail so it's a bit steep and sketchy for hiking. I did not hit the snow line but it did flurry on me just a bit at the top. #trail

This is a downhill mountain bike trail so it is banked high on one side (and very steep). A trail in the woods with signs for two paths; the right arrow on a brown sign says "Easier route" (which is a regular trail) and the left arrow has a yellow sign that says "Caution: Drop" in which the trail goes over a large boulder and drops down about four feet. A trail through the woods which has been built with little hills for doing double-jumps on a mountain bike.

Today's trail: same old same old. It's going to snow a lot here tomorrow so I wanted to get out before then. Likely after this week this usual route will end up above the snow line and I'll need to find some lower elevation trails. #trail

We signed the papers today to sell the house in California. I feel very very sad and bittersweet about it. 28 years in that house, lots of memories. ☹️

@nelson@wetdry.world I am blind. Seeing people who think I'm not worth the effort fill my timeline with AltBot generated AI stuff that isn't even accurate in lots of cases. Human alt text is always better, because it doesn´t focus on ocular seeing. Seeing people think, and AltBot was designed around that notion, that blind people must compensate for missing "eye-seeing", but that's not the case. I am interested in the meaning of an image to you, its maker or publisher. Again, human alt text is better, also because it strengthens reciprocity between seeing and blind people. AltBot doesn't but it makes seeing people believe they have done their bit for accessibility. In actuality, the reverse is often true. !!!!!!!!!

Today's Trail: the Snark loop. There was a hard frost overnight and everything was slippery. Fortunately I have acquired actual trail shoes so I'm less worried about sliding down the mountain. #trail
Fallen leaves on the trail, in brown and gold and touched with frost on the edges. My feet with my new trail shoes (black and grey) are in the picture.
