The version of the fortress you’re talking about did have Superman robots. Maybe not exactly like these, but he did have robot servants.

Be warned, however, if you play on easy in Tiny Toons: Buster Busts Loose!, you will miss out on nearly half of the game’s content because several bosses and level sections are skipped on easy. And there’s no password feature above the easy difficulty level. Old, obscure game, but crazy, right?

So we have him to thank for the way the characters look today. Before 1986, it seemed like Mario and other character designs were constantly changing from one game to the next, but starting about around SMB2 the designs seemed to stick and live on this day, but in 3D.
