Yeah, if we were setting things up for UBI, allowing people to work if they wanted for extra. Allowing creatives to work without constant stress to "hustle," we might be cooking with something good.

And it is better to cry on their own spaceship than in a crappy garage. Dude is just sad he cannot go to the wildest parties on Jeff's island anymore.

Or Stephen Miller...

I cannot like or agree with point 1 enough. My first boss who owned an IT Consultancy and Software development company, would be one of those. He had/has no idea about the technologies that we used and would make false promises to clients and the job of our devs harder. Worse now with AI

If anyone needs practical proof that UBI works just look at Alaska. It works really good there and people are happy to work.

Stephen Miller is the Whitehouse at this point. Trump does exactly what he says or suggests. He has been a bully blaming everyone else for his failures and faults ever since he was in highschool.

I just couldn't resist. That song has terrible power over people.

And would you walk 900 more?

I wonder if they can make smaller versions to mount on trucks. I am certain it would save a lot of lives while relocating resources and troops.

So technically, if Greenland wanted to, it could vote to be independent from Denmark and then join the US as they were given the right for the referendum. The fact that they haven't done this just means saying no to someone who gets more turned on when they say no and is allegedly on a list.
January 20, 2026 at 8:16 PM
Sorry, just needed to be a wiseass. Also, probably main reason they haven't held the referendum yet was due to them still having a small population and a lot of land that is being rented out to the US and partially even China.
January 20, 2026 at 8:05 PM
Akshuuuuuaaaaaly: As of 2009 the Greenlanders have been given the right to a referendum to become independent if they choose so. Also since 1979 they have the right to selfgovern for domestic issues, though that does not make them independent. Neither did they ever really choose to become Danes.

Probably true. More the restrictive numbers of episodes maybe cuz Enterprise and DS9 had continuity in later seasons

Yes, the ratings if viewers went down. But that had nothing to do with wokeness. Just....focused writing on too few characters and plot holes. The diversity and dilemmas that came out of them: the moral, legal and right thing to do was not always the same. Die to diversity that is Star Trek
January 18, 2026 at 2:20 PM
It could address that because every character got multiple episodes dedicated to them. Not just one episode in which the character dies at the end and viewers are expected to care. I would dare say, start trek was more woke back then, even though rightwingers don't want to admit this.

Do androids and holograms dream (regardless if of sheep). Are they living beings? Do they have rights? What about genderless species? Jem Hadar or the ones from TNG where the womb is external through science? Why the prime directive and how do we deal with it while lost and without access to supplie
January 18, 2026 at 2:16 PM
Old Treks strength was it's diversity: logic vs feelings. Needs of many vs needs of the few as a culture issue. How does a martially focused race work as part of the federation. How about spirituality of different species who might become members. Beings that lived countless lives as various genders
January 18, 2026 at 2:13 PM
Star Trek was always woke. Yes. Newer trk is often written bad and instead of focusing on individual characters who are all diverse they focus on one or two like Michael Burnham or Caleb. They are excellent characters but the story gets one sided.

I just makes the bully believe they can get more without consequences. They get positive affirmation and will just get worse.
