No, I get it. Wasn't meant to be belittling. Being not white and not christian growing up in this country just means it was a bit more obvious my whole life. Not sure what's worse, the knife in your back or the knife in my face. Equally horrible in slightly different ways.

I'm glad they spoke, but people need to realize that professors have very little power to influence University policies and have almost no voice when determining things like who the chancellors or deans of a University might be. Universities are dictatorships. Some have benevolent despots.

Ah, okay.. Yes. I suppose I agree I may have been a bit too much. I'll try to tone it back a bit. It's hard sometimes. Being a colored academic in this country can make me lose my temper. But would argue it's not "completely" a false horseshoe construct, but perhaps a weak horseshoe construct.

Sorry, I'm relatively new to this site and I can't figure out how to see to what your response is referring. You may be correct, some of my equivalences are regarded as "false" by some people, like when I say things like "MAGA followers are NAZIS".

I don't coddle them. Academia is one of the most BLUE groups out here. We are scrupulously fair to them, which is more than can be said about them to everyone else.

States (particularly Blue ones) need to start arresting ICE agents for breaking the law and being a part of a criminal organization.
