This week the FDA banned red dye #3, a known carcinogen for 35 years, used in candy, dessert consumed by children. The FDA banned it in cosmetics, but why did it take 35 years to be banned from kids' food? Was the food lobby fighting it? Is this process difficult? Interested in ideas and solutions.
