He always had an excuse for him. My favorite was “He was new to politics.” I was thinking to myself that maybe that’s an indicator that he didn’t belong in politics. Because what’s to stop him from listening to the wrong people again and make rash decisions based off of that?

Him: COVID is a scam. And the government mishandled it.
Me: Wasn’t Trump the president when COVID hit? So are you saying he mishandled it?
Him: No. He was listening to the wrong people. And Fauci should be jailed.
Me: But wasn’t he president and he could choose not to listen to him?

Educating those who don’t want to be educated is extremely difficult. I know so many who are really good-hearted, intelligent people that voted for him. Most if not all of them are set in their beliefs and will not listen to reason. It’s so sad and disheartening.
