This reminds me of a recent video I saw from The Rest is Politics podcast after they had the UK Green leader on. Saying they were terrified of his economic understanding. Asking who his graduate level economists were etc. it's obvious things aren't working for most people. Maybe we need new ideas!

A regular reader called me authoritarian and intolerant for writing that, which neatly lays out the pattern: the right spirals into unreasonable and dangerous spaces, but if you say so, you are authoritarian and intolerant of their views. That's basically their whole free speech issue in a nutshell
