Go outside!!! I heard great advice at a Pixar talk once where the presenter said "any chance you can get away from your desk, take it. Go outside, hang out with friends, play a sport, pick up a hobby, do ANYTHING but draw. We draw to evoke life, and you can't do that if you don't know what life is!"

how about an animatic pilot? it's a good way to put the idea out with good sound production.
