Been doing some knitting!

These are two and a bit blanket squares, based off of Frankie Brown's Ten Stitch Blanket, made from my heavy Aran to chunky weight handspun. It's lovely to be back on the knitting train again.

I'm contemplating a big change to my household/family arrangements. This is something I never thought I would even consider. I am thinking of... getting a dog. Given my history* I am proceeding carefully and doing lots of reading on the subject of dog behaviour and psychology.

I did it! I made holes in the wall! And now there's a shelf there! It is the first of, hopefully, many. I have one more shelf waiting to be en-walled before I need to get more pieces. Here's hoping the cats like it!

Sooo, I may be making friends with a street cat. I can have one more, right? I spoke to one of the people who feeds her, who confirmed that she is unhoused, unchipped and has been for four years. I'm doing the sums and can afford to get her vet checked, flea and worm treated etc next month.

These new KnitPro cables really are a massive drop in quality compared to the ones I got when I started knitting a decade ago. Now I need to rip back several hours of knitting and start again. Fucking great. Love that for me.

I got my hairs cut (at Stag Barbers, Edinburgh) today! Have some before and after pics! As you can see I went for a slightly more masculine look this time.

I'm on a bus! Also, not that you can tell, I did my eye makeup! Now with 30% less pro-genocide cosmetics companies! Loving the Huda Beauty mascara! It is cheaper than the Too Faced I used to use while being just as good.
