Unhealthy obsession with all things digital.
This was a U.S. study, but the UK is heading in the same direction fast. I’m creating a short UK summary that blends these findings with the latest Department for Education (DfE) guidance.

What are your thoughts on this? Have you chatted with your kids about how they're using AI?

✴️ 1 in 4 use chatbots for emotional support.

✴️ Only 1/3 of schools have any clear AI policy or staff training.

It’s not about banning AI. It’s about making sure schools, teachers, and parents understand how it’s being used and where the risks are (privacy, wellbeing, misinformation).

It's neat to see them encourage developers to add ARIA tags to pages though, an "agent" can be thought of as effectively another form of assistive technology

OpenAI is positioning itself to be the new gateway to the internet. With hardware plans and deep integration, they're the new front door.

I've already caught myself using Slack in the browser just so ChatGPT can enhance it. More will follow.

The internet is being rewritten in real-time.

...which means we're about to let a single AI layer filter the entire internet for us.

Think social media echo chambers, but for everything. This also breaks publishing. When an AI agent does the browsing, there are no human eyeballs for ads.

The entire open web's business model is toast.

First, agents learn to browse our human web.

Then comes the split: sites will need a "human version" and an "AI version."

But here's the paradox: the web is drowning in AI slop. Soon, AI agents will be the only way to filter through it.

We'll need AI to protect us from AI.

That’s largely due to post-Brexit immigration restrictions and reduced access to EU research funding.

Elementor is user-friendly and a great starting point. For advanced dynamic features, I often use Crocoblock/ Advanced Custom Fields. Happy creating!

Only takes 5 minutes to put the ingredients in a bread maker. Programme to start 3 hours before you get home. Nothing beats coming home to freshly baked warm bread!

This is 100% a transparent ploy to get the wider #wordpress community to push @wpengine to drop their legal claims.

Deeply disappointing. I have stayed out of engaging in drama publicly but this was something I never thought I’d see. I’m thankful for the work Patchstack has done for the community.

Thank you for stepping up and taking the lead on this. Having trusted, long-standing members like you is crucial to keeping things on course. What we need right now is more democracy and a solid, well-structured foundation to guide us forward.

Great work. I bet that this corruption is small fry compared to the procurement issues of all the infrastructure projects he was involved with. We want to know where our money has gone during that last government and why it doesn’t seem to have gone on making the country better.

Oakshott’s arrogance, pomposity and condescending manner isn’t a surprise. I believe the phrase ‘stuck up cow’ is applicable here!

Is this an alternative to Elementor or Bricks? Would be good to know how it compares.

I have the opposite problem. So entertaining, I can’t bear to miss it.
