I haven't seen it move in ages, like over 20 years, hope it still holds up

Anyone saying that is missing the point, or deliberately trying to deflect.

Sea water is very corrosive and the salt build up. You could desalinate it first but that would add to energy usage and cost

I know Syria girl is bad. She was pro Assad and Putin, spread misinfo and conspiracies. and her Wikipedia pages says she's questioned the Holocaust, so actually antisemetic

Yeah, Nvidia data centre chips use up to 700W each, ISS cooling system can max radiate 70kW.

A single rack uses a 100s-1000 GPUs.

Just because most are there doesn't mean that's where data centres would be. Data centres would not be an average thing we currently put in space.

The scale of data centres are orders of magnitude higher in compute than that of the computers on satellites now.

And no one saying it is imposable, it's doubting if it's worth the cost of doing it.

The issue is that in space it's harder to cool things faster than they heat up. And if you can't keep the chips in the data centres cool enough they don't work very well, or break.

Vacuums don't really have a temperature.

On Earth you cool down by transferring heat from the data centres into the air, space has no air to transfer heat too.

You cool down by thermal radiation, but that's not very efficient.

The issue with data centres in space would be cooling, not power. A vacuum is a very good insulator.

All AI features will also be opt-in. I think there are some grey areas in what 'opt-in' means to different people (e.g. is a new toolbar button opt-in?), but the kill switch will absolutely remove all that stuff, and never show it in future. That's unambiguous.
