Literally happened to me when I went to a concert that turned into a riot. A man with bleeding forehead was thrown across my windshield and a cop on a horse with a baton knocked on my window and ordered me to drive!

Bottom line the shutdown couldn't continue into holidays. Air controllers couldn't continue to work without getting paid. People could not do without Snap. Democrats care about people GOP doesn't. They had to bring it to an end before the holidays. A lot of people are being hurt badly.

In my opinion, it's like the Texas democrats. They fought the fight. They made a point. They brought the issue to the public. They knew they couldn't win. But they made people aware of the issue.

Some of the comments on here are as poorly thought out and illogical as those on FB. I'm not happy with the democrats conceding, but the alternative GOP party is much worse.
