i made this artwork in my art-course through décalcomanias by pressing paint onto a piece of paper - and afterwards drawing into it to highlight the motives that were created by coincidence.

esther, being his companion and hold during distress, has adapted to her life in the sky and appears in her star-shape frequently, lighting anshel the way back to reality, while he serves her company in the distant, lonely sky.

anshel is a disturbed being, having frequent nightmares and loosing the threshold of dreams and reality. this results in him being swallowed by the sky, whether in the literal or metaphorical sense.
