New York based artist, Cindy Sherman, is famous for her photographs of women in which she is not only the photographer, but also the subject. She has contributed her own footage to the programme by recording her studio and herself at work with her Hi-8 video camera.

ITS BACK!! - we're starting up the last Wednesday film night, starting this month on the 30th April.

We'll be showing the short film 'The Ghost Camera' (1933), a British mystery film, stars Henry Kendall, Ida Lupino, and John Mills.

Earthrise was taken by astronaut William Anders during the Apollo 8 mission.
The photograph was taken from lunar orbit on December 24, 1968, 16:39:39.3 (UTC) with a highly modified Hasselblad 500 EL with an electric drive and a 250mm lens.

Ilford name registered:
The company that would become Ilford was founded in 1879 by Alfred Hugh Harman as Britannia Works and renamed Britannia Works Company Limitedin December 1891.
The company was based in the town of Ilford, and was initially making photographic plates.
