Ball lightning -- like quicksand -- is one of those things that has not been nearly as much of a problem in my adult life as I thought it would be as a kid.

The Kiffness still has shows in Denver, Seattle, Austin, and Dallas (among others) ahead on his tour. I cannot recommend this show any more enthusiastically, especially if you love silly internet shit like me.

When I fostered a lot of sickly shelter cats and kittens in Texas, I used a “Kitten Glop” recipe that really helped those with low appetites get calories in. It includes egg yolks, but I wonder if you could omit them.

Was going to go shopping in Nashua, NH today (time for a big Costco run and our closer Costco is mid-renovation). Think we will delay the Big Shop til tomorrow to avoid 5 hours of driving in snow and rain when we’ve already switched from our winter tires.

We ate yellow pea soup, ham, bacon, sausages, baked beans, scrambled eggs, pork rinds and sugar pie. As a flatlander, I was not prepared for the EXTREME MAPLE INFUSION experience and was in a food coma by the third course. After some maple taffy aka “sugar on snow”, I napped the rest of the day.

I got through to the DC office at 3:58 and the staffer told me he’d just received new info that Welch will vote “NO”. I gave them my info in support of this plan.
