What I have been longing for is a more accurate WfC Swindle (as a part of Bruticus), but with the coming SS86 version coming, I guess I can sit on that one.
At best, a SS Gaming edition will be an heavy retool that still will be a far cry from the actual look.

Ocular Max's version pull it off quite well, without any additional leg bit, even, but they resolve the problem by deciding the wheels just won’t be in the back.

Different continuity, so different character (I guess?), but even before that, there was animated Arcee, still one of the best and one of the least shell-former of he kind.

If Optimus is the stand-in for St Nicolas, who is he going to punch for daring to argue that no incarnation of Primus after the OG one can be considered his equal?

Even with what could be considered claws, that part always looked off to me. Don't know if it's just me, though.

It's not so much meant to be an improvement for SS Devastator himself, but rather for Long Haul specifically, as it retract the rear wheels a bit better in Robot mode and allow for Waist rotation.
The point of the image with the back of Devy is to show it can still (somehow) combines afterwards.

I was going to say that if they used the Nemesis Prime from the Armada comics, it would have just been a G1 design repaint, but one is just a dead Optimus Prime and the other is actually from the Universe comics (though expositioned by Vector, so I guess it at least connect it to the UT continuity).
