Have you noticed that museums are more often revealing their behind-the-scenes processes? One of my favorites recently was seeing the arms and armor shop at the Met, via a visit from Adam Savage. But this one caught my eye today. I love Calder's mobiles and am impressed at the care taken here.

A few weeks ago I posted an adult bark roach (Lanxoblatta rudis) and today I'm posting its super flat nymph. The "starry night" look is a teneral stage right after molting and before camouflage pigmentation appears. You can also see the network of tracheal tubes responsible for respiration.

Shout-out to one of my fav Ukrainian businesses: Tower Rex makes great custom organizers for board games—like this one, for Rising Sun. Took time to assemble, but it beautifully holds all minis and expansions. Reduced the set by three boxes and makes setup easier. Came to me from Kyiv. towerrex.com
