Just 5 days ago Trump said they would, of course, release the video. Today he denied saying that. Why wasn't the very next question to him: Mr. President, do you really not remember saying exactly that just 5 days ago?

There are two serial killers loose in D.C. One goes by the name Donald J. Trump & he lives & works at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. The other goes by the name Pete Hegseth & he works at the Pentagon.

Why, after repeated attempts to sell Ukraine out, would Putin ever compromise? He can clearly see that Trump has his back. Trump has made it impossible to settle this war during his term.

Finally! He released the damn files! Hooray!

I'm sorry, what was that? Oh!, not the Epstein files... the Earhart files? You mean Amelia Earhart? Oh, uh huh...

Nevermind.

Apparently, Ohtani threw for 4 TDs, rushed for 2 more, had 2 interceptions & made the game-saving tackle in L.A. today. The team announced that although he will be playing in the World Series next Friday & Saturday, he will not miss next Sunday's football game as it's an off day for the Dodgers.

What the 1st Amendment means: The people can criticize POTUS as much as they like. Comedians can make fun of POTUS as much as they like. POTUS can complain about this as much as he likes, BUT HE CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. Or, at least, that's supposed to be what it means.

The Marines proved no match for the City of Angels. We beat their asses and now they're slinking back to their bases.*

*Just kidding &, to be clear, we Angelenos support them fully when (unlike now) they're properly commanded & doing the job of defending us from real foreign threats.

Semper Fi!

Controlling the border is fine. Deporting bad guys is fine. But mass deportation is just, plain bad & a complete waste of money. Trump & the Republicans want to spend nearly $100b more to do just that. The Democrats should not be afraid to make this case.

I've lived in L.A. all my life & have pretty much seen it all, Watts '65, the '92 Riot, + personally, being nearly attacked by the LAPD in the Vietnam War protest in Century City in '67), but I have to say this is the stupidest gov't response of all time.

From the halls of Montebello,
to the shores of Malibu,
we will fight our country's (imagined) battles,
in the air, on land & sea...

I'm not saying this isn't serious (because it is + because I live in L.A.) but, as with all things Trump, THIS IS ALSO INCREDIBLY STUPID!

Be careful out there!

The recent fires in L.A. took many more than 10k homes, plus thousands of other structures. What we need most right now is construction labor and federal assistance. Instead, what do we get? The federal gov't waging war on us and attacking the construction labor pool. This is fucked up. Trump sucks.

At this point we'd be better off if the courts just enjoined Trump and his administration in full and allowed them to seek relief for actions, if any, they can show are not unconstitutional, horribly stupid & morally bankrupt. Just think of the time we'd save.
May 28, 2025 at 11:27 PM
For the sake of efficiency, it probably would make more sense to enjoin the Trump administration in full and then let it apply for relief for those actions, if any, where it could prove that the action was not insane.

2 judges have now found Trump's attack on law firms UNCONSTITUTIONAL. That makes the "agreements" the Trump 9 firms (Paul /Weiss, Skadden et al) signed w/him unconstitutional too. They must renounce these abominations today and begin to make amends for their cowardice & betrayal of the rule of law.

It's clear that Biden should not be President. But it is far more clear that Trump should not be.

Make no mistake. Moody's did not downgrade the United States. Moody's downgraded Donald Trump. They still have him way overrated. He's definitely not investment grade.

Hey Migrants: Thinking of taking Trump up on that offer? Read the fine print. It's payable in Trump meme coin.

Make no mistake: Investors aren't selling U.S. gov't debt -- they are selling Trump. No way this would be happening if Harris, Biden, Clinton, Obama or GWB were in the WH. Investors see more than 45 more months of Trump and they say "I don't want any part of that."
April 12, 2025 at 7:33 PM
I first wrote this 8 years ago: Donald Trump is the last person in whom any power or authority over others should be reposed.

Musk should immediately sell Tesla to Ford or GM.

Regarding Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the Trump fascist regime claims not to have acted in bad faith but they have not even asked Bukele nicely to release him for return to his U.S. citizen wife & diasabled child. That is bad faith in the extreme.
April 1, 2025 at 7:19 PM
Trump is rolling out the tariffs tomorrow (4/2) instead of the more logical 4/1 because today they would so obviously be a bad prank.
