I was hoping they would take the opportunity of a 2 part almost 3 hour movie to delve more into Elphaba’s origins (like the book). Maybe through flashbacks in part 2? If it doesn’t win an Oscar for best costumes I will protest in the streets. The music was as amazing as expected.

She was much better than I expected her to be. It’s obvious she has made a study of Kristin Chenoweth’s Glinda, because she channels a lot of the gestures and vocal intonations. Cynthia Erivo was completely sublime. I loved everything about her Elphaba.
