I should've amswered Manos, but I didn't feel like it counts to be watching your treatments of it - I was watching MST3K on a Manos-themed day. So, to be different, it's "Holiday Inn" out of the 100s I've seen 6+ times.

If we ever overcome the current idiots in power, maybe we could address the adoption of metric again some day. In the 1970s I thought we'd get there, but the "WTF is a kilometer" crowd won. Now it's the MAGA "freedom units".

I do understand that he says he never said anything like it, and that it would just be silly to say, but my tolerance for his pronouncements nevertheless feels at least partly limited by that one.

I'm not so confident in "things said by Bill Gates" - even though human survival of some reduced quality is very probable. I'm old enough to "remember" the unlikely "640k memory is enough" pseudo-quote.
