Possible marketing technique since they’re still a company and need to get as much people to buy their product. Not to mention that AAA games don’t treat themselves as art, and prefer to be as corporate-friendly as possible. Definitely a sad thing, but post-GamerGate, not surprising.

Kylo’s entire quote revolves around obsessing over the past and destroying it. While failure is tough, it is better to acknowledge it and improve, rather than to let it take control of who you are. We see this when he orders everyone to shoot Luke on Krait and ends up letting the Resistance flee.
