Well, I happen to know one beautiful person who was given some very bad advice in this area, (regardless of the “highly specialised assessments”), and the end result was disastrous.

If, say, a 13 year old girl with anorexia were to present to you, claiming to be obese (when she was really dangerously underweight), I assume you wouldn’t recommend gastric bypass surgery?

Ukraine’s historic borders were laid down many years ago, (when borders within the old USSR didn’t really mean much).
They include many, many Russian-speaking populations, (especially within the Caucasus).
These peoples want to be Russian.
