haven't tried KCD2, but generally, the skill rating in kcd1 is overhyped. If you start a fresh game the moment after you finish the first game you will find yourself incapable of doing well because the game is a numbers-focused RPG that hides it well. So if KCD2 isn't like that then that's awesome.
