Played MtG, I still have my Black\white deck lying around somewhere, as for TTRPG, I'm all for DnD-alike. Been writing my own sys for 17~ years now.
I will never believe that there are no such events in California =) We held such events even in the Republic of Yakutia, in the city of Neryungri =)

It was kind of fun. Miniatures, board games, TTRPGs, and for hosts being just students, with a budget of two cans of beer and three packs of juice, it was really great.
