When I talk to law students, I get the sense that FedSoc chapters today are different—more extreme, more overtly political, unabashedly MAGA—than they might have been 20-30 years ago when many law profs were in law school. Think this legacy helps explain why so many still treat the org seriously.

Why did Trump nominate Gaetz knowing that he may not pass the senate? To protect him. By giving Gaetz cover to resign, the House no longer has jurisdiction over Gaetz, and House R's will not release the ethics report in order to not undermine their POTUS-elect.
