Democrats really squandered a chance to call for & do a general strike. It was perhaps the very best opportunity they've ever had too.

Democrats have the power to change things despite being the minority party in DC but they chose not to use & yield it. Who suffers now? All of us because of them.

So remind us again exactly WHY the government was shut down? What did this do? I'll tell you what it did - absolutely nothing but harm people needlessly. It makes zero sense to shut things down when you simply fold & get nothing of the things you originally demanded to reopen things.

The post recounts how, on August 16, 1996, a three-year-old boy fell 24 feet into her enclosure and was injured. Binti approached, cradled the unconscious boy, and gently laid him down near a door where zoo staff could reach him, while her baby gorilla, Koola, clung to her back.
