ModRetro just announced a Game Boy clone that they're making in collaboration with Anduril Industries (a drone, missile, and surveillance equipment manufacturer for the U.S. military). Both companies were founded by Palmer Luckey (the Oculus Rift guy).

It's really cool seeing longer attack chains in DS1.

So trying to avoid how a lot of hammers and axes felt in DS1 (where the R2s frequently look like the same attack but slower)?

Thinking about how Square/Square Enix (even with all their other problems) have had multiple in-house composers at any given time since the 90s, and even games that are borderline unplayable will frequently have a killer soundtrack composed by someone who's been working there for 20+ years.
