I've come to a similar conclusion when talking about souls games, it does come down to getting good. I'm experiencing it all over again my first time playing hades this past week. I just died to hades at 10% hp, its like ds1 all over again for me

Is this not the difference between a presidential and mayoral election? Mamdanis win was historic for an nyc mayoral election, Harris lost voters between 2020 and 2024. We can talk about people's level of participation in elections that affect them differently, but thats a different topic

Also I go in on dems because I expect better from them, there are genuinely good dems who i respect and I know the party could do better but the establishment chooses not to. Republicans are demonic evil bastards who should be **************************************** so I don't have hope for them.

That's a separate issue that makes me want to destroy the sun, and still it was historic turnout because mamdani actually offered something! He got people excited, he gave people hope in a future, not just saying 'I'm not cuomo.' He was genuine, kind, a little punchy, everything Harris was not.

Did Harris run on that, or did she run on not being Trump? I know everything you listed, but the average voter doesn't because she didn't run on that. And we both agree that should be enough, but that's not what voters think. They are fucking dolts, they saw the funny guy who said the right things

The democrats establishment is a joke, failed at every level to do anything. No messaging, cowards in congress, they can't even condemn invading Venezuela, they only seem mad they weren't consulted.

Also again for this specific situation, we are 3 years from the election, we need some concrete fucking pushback if we are to say we support anyone. Harris fucking dipped, Newsom is an empty suit, what we have Ro Khanna who has put in some work?

I'm sorry, mate, that has never been how politics works in the history of humanity. You can not make people support you just because you aren't explicitly evil because the evil guy will just say they will give you this or that benefit. They are lying yes of course, but offering nothing doesn't work

Well hasans original comment is on gaza, thats what hes talking about. And by all accounts on gaza Harris would not have been different compared to Biden, and materialistically is not different than Trump. Hes not talking about Greenland or Venezuela in that clip, which no a dem wouldn't invade

Did vaush say they would? I do not remember that watching live if you're talking about the part I am. I have never seen anyone say a dem would threaten Greenland like Republicans are.

He said there's no point saying vote blue no matter who 3 years before the election, why be okay with mediocrity at the outset? Dems have not been proving that they have any inclination to repair the institutions currently being trashed, they are completely useless on messaging.

I do too but I'm a collector, I like collecting things, and sometimes its not fluid. When you can't get an item because you don't have the right gear but then you get it 5 minutes later but you can't go back yet, or you have to basically do the whole level again to get 1 item, it feels artificial

There are plenty of story based games where I feel like the narrative is interrupted or extended in what feels like, to me, just for time. Sometimes mechanics or game structure does it, like Assassin's creed collectibles, or arkham knight not letting you get trophies first time in an area.

I think a lot of games can be better being shorter, many games I feel like out stay their welcome, lies of p is one major one for me. The entire last hour to 2 hours is a slog. Then some games can stand to have some brevity.
