When Donald Trump starts imprisoning his political enemies for nothing at all, or simply because he doesn't like them, the American people will stand by and do nothing during that too.

And yes, Americans stood by and let it happen. Americans allowed torture, kidnapping, surveillance, and the murder of more than 1 million Iraqi civilians during W. Bush & Cheney. They allowed Obama's drone strike wars, and Trumps pivot of anti-terrorist tactics onto the American people.

and in some cases refused to acknowledge they were in custody or straight up lied about it. Just like they're doing today. The 1st Trump administration was the test run for the 2nd one, and the two George W. Bush administrations were the test runs for what Trump does now.
