I like his use of the arm drag position that you can see at 0:26 to defend against the fence. The far-side underhook makes it hard for them to drop down and pick your standing ankle, and it's a strong position for reversing them and regaining the center of the ring.

That tension Oakley is creating with his inside leg hooking and lifting Passarelli's top leg looks like a leg weave pass in bjj, very cool stuff

This looks like a rear clinch escape I saw in some goofy old japanese jiujitsu instructional . It has you just step your knee behind theirs and sit down like you're in a chair but the thought's similar.

I'm a dog shit striker but if I can get one of these to happen in a 5 minute sparring round, I don't care how bad I get my ass whipped.

For sure, yeah, Bryce is likely upset that Trump isn't exposing the jewish pedo cannibals to save the white race or something

I mean this is Mr. "Hitler only went wrong when he started doing meth, he's a great guy I'd love to go fishing with", I think he's just deep in that scene.

I specifically love how he exploits the stupid your-turn-my-turn tendency in MMA striking by shelling up to say "please, after you, I insist" and then booping people's snoots as they step in to take their turn.

When we teach fighting, we spend the vast majority of time on the nuts and bolts, the mechanics of hitting hard and fast. I only started to love the game when I learned how to establish expectations, then defy them. To fight well is to tell your opponent lies.

The result is that, with the phantoms of two kicks covering my advance, I can step right up in a straight line and throw my 1-2 down the pipe onto their nose. Their eyes are on my hips, their hands are preparing to block a kick, and the door is open for me.

This looks like a rear round kick, hopefully. Eyes and hands go down towards this new threat. Again, sometimes I actually throw this just so it looks legit next time. It's even better if they block it, because they'll feel success and want to repeat it. But remember, my goal here is the 1-2.

They can drop a hand or scooch their hips back to address this threat. Lots of times, people will go "Oh, right, we're kicking then" and helpfully get on one leg for me. Either is good. So that's the lead leg in. Then I try and really show the rear hip opening up as I step up the rear leg.
