Okay, but the same thing still happened (and it did say it was dealing with it 🤷‍♀️) and I have been unable to find any information about what came of the widespread complaint. To all the channels, even if it was an extra one.
MAKE A COMPLAINT The CBSC has received a large number of complaints concerning Cross Country Checkup broadcast on CBC on February 23rd, 2025. Accordingly, while the CBSC will be dealing with this broadcast under its normal process, it is not able to accept any further complaints.

I am writing about the Cross Country Checkup and Ian Hanomansing. The way this show is being promoted, and the manner in which the topic (the attempt of a hostile takeover of our sovereign nation) is being positioned is absolutely appalling.  This is a deeply troubling and dangerous time for our nation. The fact it is being treated like a light topic of discussion by Hanomansing on CBC of all places is unacceptable. Every Canadian I have spoken to regarding this show is equally disgusted in the way it is being handled by CBC Radio. Canadians are working together, and working hard to do whatever we can, to fight this threat to our nation. We are taking financial losses to do so, and removing many comforts of our way of living to support our nation in the face of a dire threat. This show and Ian's promotions are a slap in the face to what so many of us are working hard to do. It is undoing our hard work. This is not okay. I strongly hope that CBC Radio will pull this episode or completely change the manner in which it is being covered, and not cover this subject this way in the future. If CBC does not rectify this egregious oversight in your programming, I will not listen to future programming or pay for a subscription to CBC Gem. I will not further endorse or fund such irresponsible coverage, and will extend my current boycott of American paid products to CBC as well. Thank you for your consideration,

I used to get sick constantly when I was a fitness professional, because virus is in the air (I washed hands and surfaces to *no avail*… I wonder why. I knew about airborne).

Two things stopped this:
1. I stopped drinking. Huge difference.
2. I wear a fitted respirator. This too.

cccalliope • 10m Basically the "D" genotype was created recently, it looks like just to track a subtype that happened to infect domestic mammals in case it has something more dangerous in it. So we know this subtype is dominant in the wild birds in the area. And the mammal infections in the area seem to be coming from it. So it can be in wild birds and they give it to poultry and the pigs seemed to catch it from poultry on the farm, and the Washington cullers got it from some poultry that got it from circulating wild birds, and the human got it from some similar source, an infected egg that got to marketplace before an infected farm's poultry were culled or a touch from a cut on the hand of bird poop on their car handle. Since it is the D genotype it rules out a dairy or milk source since that's a different genotype. Genotypes are really complicated and the labeling doesn't even have to mean anything when it is assigned. Here is what Michael Coston a bird flu blogger says: "While a lot of attention has been focused on the B3.13 genotype affecting cattle, it is just one of more than 100 genotypes of HPAI H5N1 clade 2.3.4.4b detected in North America since late 2021, and any one of them (and future iterations that may emerge) has the potential to evolve into a public health concern. "

Re: #H5N1 teen in BC. PHAC confirmed "the individual has avian influenza H5N1 and the genomic sequencing result indicates that the virus is related to the avian influenza H5N1 viruses from the ongoing outbreak in poultry in British Columbia (Influenza A (H5N1), clade 2.3.4.4b, genotype D.1.1)."
