He/they
I am, or am not. If the latter, I'm informed that I won't mind.
Owns the concept of punching Richard Spencer.
Orc is also how GW spells\ed it in the Old World\Warhammer Fantasy Battles. It's how Tolkien spelled it. It's how everyone spells it until they want to be different. (I assume AoS ads a syllable somewhere?) Ork is specifically 40k.
October 24, 2025 at 4:31 AM
Whfb still spells it orc, only 40k spells it ork. Chaos is already something GW borrowed from Moorcock, so it's hardly unique there.

I can't wait for the weirdo (derogatory) lot to leave 40k, so I can bitch about GW lore for my weirdo (laudatory if you listen to me, but let's be real, acceptable is closet to the mark) reasons.

It turns put the kids _are_ alright, so they couldn't find any for the young Republicans.

Makes the weird change from being a revolutionary to a Christmas themed goblin hit different.

How does this handle the implied martial\caster split?
October 9, 2025 at 8:59 AM
Eighter.

Once upon a time, there were rules for this sort of thing. Lost and the Damned, Blood Pact, etc. The late 3e campaign book, Codex: Eye of Terror is probably the easiest to get a copy of if that's your interest.

Horser.
Like a horse, but more.

Yeah, the difference is semantic since they are practically in lockstep anyhow, Nationals are just Acubra Liberals, and have been for some time.
September 29, 2025 at 9:12 AM
I think you have it backwards. At the national level they're seperate parties in coalition, and the split was possible because of that. But in Qld they're fully combined, and breaking the two up would be much trickier. I don't how that plays out between the state\national stuff though.
September 29, 2025 at 3:56 AM
They formally merged in 2008, so they are actually one party here in Qld specifically. Am I missing something?
September 28, 2025 at 11:31 PM
That's generally how other queer identities are treated, which are much more commonly referenced. The IoM as a whole doesn't care at all, but individual worlds have different viewpoints, and the IoM doesn't see fit to care about that either.
September 28, 2025 at 10:15 PM
It would be consistent with their general deal, but probably not. There's a few scattered references to trans people in the Black Library novels and no evidence that the Imperium as a whole cares at all. It probably varies by world, with the Imperial institutions being largely indifferent.
September 28, 2025 at 10:15 PM
The Imperium is uniquely bad at solving a problem and it's solutions just making it's problems worse is pretty on brand. But also you kind of have to ignore Tau, Orks, Necrons, Kroot, Eldar Corsairs, and dozens of xenos that never had their own army lists not having a chaos problem like the IoM does
September 25, 2025 at 1:25 PM
Humans might just be uniquely vulnerable, but maybe the Imperium primes people who fall away from their dogma to fall further and harder to Chaos.
September 25, 2025 at 11:59 AM
Like, we have three different ways the Eldar resist it, Kroot mostly can avoid it by not eating corrupted meat, half the xenos in the galaxy are resistant to it, and although extreme piousness is a defence, many non-pious characters deal with it on a number of occasions without major incident.
September 25, 2025 at 11:59 AM
That recurs enough that I think we have to accept that Chaos isn't reliably that level of cognitohazard, and maybe the Imperial viewpoint makes people more vulnerable to it if they ever fail at the hyperdogmatic approach the IoM pushes.

That implies Jerry's heaven doesn't have Bluesky And that Jerry is rapturable.
September 22, 2025 at 9:38 PM
Hope I can see it when it's done. Sounds delightful.
September 22, 2025 at 5:11 AM
40k has a really inconsistent scale. On top of or as part of their heroic scale stuff, the vehicles apparently sit at around 1:43 when compared to historicals because they're just silly big, and the buildings are often overlarge too. So you'll likely get away with it more than expected.
September 22, 2025 at 3:09 AM
Super jealous. It's always great to find other weirdos playing the older editions.
September 19, 2025 at 2:45 PM
Yeah, but also, if you're upset with the current state of popular Warhammer, you're probably playing an older edition with some mates. Not exactly a lot of 4e PUGs at your local.
September 19, 2025 at 1:21 AM
The Margaret Thatcher link was disputed by Andy Chambers, whose warboss it was originally. If you want politics and Warhammer examples, McDeath has some better ones for you, or if it has to be the witch herself, her face is the canonical visage on the Banner of Evil.
September 19, 2025 at 12:12 AM
Honestly, I think it's underused in Tau stuff. I'd love to see minis and rules for more of the auxiliary races, and especially more of the weird aliens.
