I understand WHY they did it, however, this isn’t about how MEDIA works, this is about how far we let Trump’s influence IMPACT media, and its availability or lack thereof. If you don’t see that he will go for the other liberal late night TV shows next, perhaps it’s not I that’s short sighted.

Not to mention, delaying the response leaves time and space for other media groups to cancel other late night shows under political pressure in the meantime.

Colbert will be paid whether I watch or not. It’s Paramount that can’t have another dime of my $. Colbert would be better served by lost revenue at the cancellation notice in my opinion. Postponing the consequences gives people time to forget and only helps Paramount and their advertisers
