I dynamically create the module id and use that to monitor the namespaced id of the closebutton with the observer. So yes essentially I am left with zombie observers after the module UI is removed. Good that I now know I can destroy them easily

Great work! In our case the observer inserted the UI and created the close button observer for that UI within its body. We dynamically added cards (via a button). The UI cards were modules and the close button was inside the module. We had to play with namespaces a bit to close the cards safely

This is great. We did something similar at work with Shiny and duckdb. We do loop through the rules and create a where statement and push it to the duckdb database
