It took me a very long time to learn "do your best" does not mean "give 100% effort even at the expense of your physical or mental health" or "give A+ effort even when it is clearly not appreciated or valued". Sometimes doing your best is heating up a can of soup and going to bed early.

You know how sometimes as non-binary folks, we do the thing where we give/claim several pronouns including some to make it easier for (probably cis) people to not misgender us?
I don't think we have an official term for this, so I am going to suggest we call them: courtesy pronouns.

My hot take? LLMs could have been done right. Emphasis on COULD.
At the dawn of the technology, the developers could have asked "how can we get data that isn't stealing?" Sure it would have taken longer, but maybe we would have had the infrastrure...

There are a lot of critiques of LLMs that I agree with but "they suck and aren't useful" doesn't really hold water.
I understand people not using them because of social, economic, and environmental concerns. And I also understand people using them because they can be very useful.
