I'd also provide the input with a ref, that should check if it should focus when the input is attached to the dom.

This is a timing issue at heart. We can't focus the input until it mounted on the DOM. This problem is exactly one problem React refs solve - no timing issues, no sneak hacks.

Why build a new grid?
Because most "React" grids feel like ports from 2012.
LyteNyte Grid is:

✅ Blazing fast
✅ Free features others charge for (like row grouping, CSV export, detail views)

It's not wrapped. It's React.
