anything with a strange, unsolved crime at it's center, or a cold case that's become shrouded in speculation and lore; casts that are bound together by old secrets (and lies, and resentments); old groups of friends drawn back together by a mystery

I'm on the lookout for pacy, commercial thrillers, and psychological thrillers and domestic suspense especially. As above, I'm always excited to see a new take on an old setup, or genre-savvy writing that can twist the story in a new and unexpected direction, and love a mystery

nerdy and horrifying deep dives that will absolutely ruin an obscure or seemingly mundane topic I hadn't known I should be afraid of; anything that has me rooting for the cast to survive (even if we know they can't); "I'm not trapped with the killer, the killer is trapped with me" energy
