I see posts on 🧵 from people I don’t follow (everyday people, not friends or notable political figures) because the algorithms, at least on Threads, direct me to people who share views that are similar to mine. There’s a lot of great storytelling. A window into the average person’s experiences.

Understood and I agree. I know a lot of people feel similarly. It’s hard for me to tell how much BlueSky has caught on. It feels barren compared to Threads and using Meta platforms feels like an FU to Zuck, even as many are suspicious.

Have you considered posting on Threads as well? You can create an account from your Instagram. I personally find it more engaging, which is unfortunate given who runs it. It’s still a great platform for supporting discussions like this and a better complement to BlueSky than FB is. 😊

IMO… I’m sick of the normalization and sane washing. I’m sick of the threats, and the hate. I’m sick of willful stupidity, and always choosing the lowest possible discourse.
If they can’t tell what he is by now, we literally have nothing in common. We don’t even agree on the same reality.
