Ivy is buzzing, literally, with bees, hoverflies, wasps, and butterflies at this time of year.
It provides vital late autumn pollen and nectar to vast numbers of insects.
Its berries are vital for birds in the depths of winter.
Ivy is amazing. Preserve it.

Sycamore are an invasive species that out compete and crowd out native saplings.
They should be eliminated where possible.
The furore in the UK about 1 tree is perplexing.

Inniscarra is still at its wintertime normal level, so expect continued high flows for the rest of the day.

200m3 per second is currently being released.
The discharge tipping point for flooding of the city is about 250m3.
Remember also that the ESB released 550m3/s in 2009 which caused devastating flooding in the city.

The Lee Fields are flooded today. ESB are releasing water from the dams ahead of tomorrows yellow rainfall warning.
