I flat out don't believe that the people with the monies don't know it's a bubble. but if they start talking like it is people will get spooked and it'll pop

the whole thing is just a bunch of games, the market is fundamentally a bunch of irrational betting

like we are used to seeing things made with cameras that are affected by gravity and I def respond negatively to things where that isn't true.

but being used to a thing does not mean it is better and we can all get used to new things

I agree, restraint with non-physical cameras is a good idea but also the language of cinematography will change over time and I dunno if people 20 years from now will necessarily look back at our movies and say they are "wrong"

this is a strong contender

even if bacteria in the wild do evolve resistance to this eventually, that will take time. how many millions of people will be helped in the meantime? if this pans out it is 100% an enormously good bit of news

anyone taking the position of "this good news is bad, we just don't know how yet and the experts who say otherwise are wrong" is too cynical for their own good
