I had one almost 30 years ago now. Very easy procedure (I can only imagine it's even easier now), minimal discomfort, some minor swelling. A bag of frozen peas will be your best friend for a couple of days. After that, smooth sailing!

The only thing I've found to be asthma-friendly (in small doses) is a soy lavender candle. Not traditional for ceremonial use, but one does what one must.
