When you want to forget, for a moment, the troubles in the world, a stroll on the beach in Lake Michigan is the best way to start. Remind yourself that your love and that good little human you are raising to make an impact are all that matter.

You can find creativity anywhere. At the very least something innocuous can lead to social commentary. You just have to keep your eyes open.

Toured the Eastern State Penitentiary and met a wonderful artist Mark Loughney. Seeing his piece Pyrrhic Defeat which touches on the subject of mass incarceration was eye opening. Highly recommend following him on Instagram and bringing attention to the issues of criminal justice reform.

Very intrigued by my next book choice. Considering how our culture is constantly in pursuit of social status, I wonder what thoughts and opinions this will provoke.
