MS have clearly checked out of this generation, and are no longer prepared to participate in the subsidised console hardware process. The next Xbox will be a very different beast, and will be much more aligned with PC. You are seeing this with their mutiplat strategy.

There used to be a TV retailer next to where I lived in the 90's that sold motorised Mitsubishi sets, pretty sure they had RGB Scarts on the UK models though...?
