Maybe, like someone else said, instead of “earning” your knitting time you knit something that records your running or walking time or miles? Like a temp blanket but for the movement of your choice? That may have the motivating factor that the OG idea is looking for without the problematic mindset.

I would follow along with that progress and empathize with that bs

Last years was moss stitch crochet for me. This years is skull squares and I'm hoping I can stick with it.

I forgot to add in time for color changes and weaving in, so if I up the 12 min to 15 to account for that we're at ~99 hours.

I did that at the end of last years temp blanket and got about the same (also rows), so throughout the year it took, at minimum, ~80 hours.
365 daily rows + 24 month divider rows + 4 beginning and ending bookend rows = 397 * 12 min per row = 4764 mins / 60 min per hr = 79.4 hrs

Thanks! I'm gonna have to look up some videos and watch how it's done once I finish up all my January squares (I"m already behind because I was finishing up 2024 🤷) and figure out how I want to lay them out (rows or calendar style).

Beautiful colors!! Which technique are you using to connect your hexagons? I like the way your connections look and lay nicely and I'm working with squares for this years and am unsure which technique to use for connection.

Nice! I have 2025 started as well.

Excited to see it. Half square triangles were one of several granny squares I was tossing around for 2025. I ended up going with skull squares.

To follow up my previous comment. Slow progress is still progress. We got this.

You are so not alone. I am concurrently finishing up my 2024 temp blanket (done through Nov 10th, I think, at the moment) and behind on my 2025 temp blanket (done through Jan 15th at the moment).

Gorgeous!

😂 I feel you. I used Caron one pound for my 2024 temp blanket and went through 1.5-2 of the cool temp colors.
