The irony is that the death rate in Mexico from guns smuggled from the US is more than three times that in the US from fentanyl smuggled from Mexico and that most of the trafficking is by American citizens.

It seems sometimes as though life is about losses. In the past two decades I have lost to death two wives, two cats, a dog, and several friends. Other friends have moved away or simply tired of me. And now I fear that I am about to lose another cat.
So I make a lap for her and hope for the best.
