Will this new "lifeline" increase my income to the point I lose the current "lifeline" assistance I get from the state, which will eat up and negate that "extra" $200 and then some, faster than snow melting in hell?

And? Who's going to stop them?

No need for IVF when red states force girls and women to bear children they don't want. Just put 'em up for adoption and everyone unable to have children will adopt them and give them a wonderful life, just the way God intended...isn't that right, conservatives?

"You need subsidy for wind" does he mean money?
Or does he mean backup for wind energy when it's not windy?

Republicans fueling distrust by rescinding with 51 votes what garnered them enough votes from Democrats earlier this year to get what they wanted, is going to make the run up to the September 30th reconciliation deadline verrry interesting...

A better idea is to simply request a Stop Payment Order.

If you're having trouble canceling a subscription from a merchant, make sure you contact your bank at least 3 days prior to the next charge and request a Stop Payment Order. I've done this with no problem and no fees. Some banks may only do it temporarily, 6 months or so; others may require a fee.

Nixing the current budget and starting again, keeping everyday Americans in mind instead of the wealthy, would be a great start.

It is not what "many" want but what a minority want and it is way past time for the majority to get off their arses and vote to stop it.

Good. They need to feel the pain of their vote.

The Trump damage began in 2016 when he suggested to his gullible, hateful followers that a 2A solution would solve the problem of his opponent being elected.

You know he will just make taxpayers foot the bill to repair it to surpass all the old and new 7th wonders of the world and spare no bling!

Taxpayers have bailed out farmers harmed by Trump tariffs to the tune of $61 billion.

The MAGA mentality encompasses all ages and ethnicities. Millions of boomers have never voted for him -- and younger people voted right this time. Congrats on winning the useful idiot award for asinine generalizations.

Thing is, standard drug tests don't look for Ketamine.

"Trump lieutenants have earnestly asked one another if they thought Musk was high. A lawyer for Musk has said he's 'regularly and randomly drug-tested at SpaceX and has never failed a test.'"

House Republicans and 4 Democrats just voted to force every married woman who changed her name to obtain a $130 passport to exercise her freedom to vote. What are you planning on doing about that?
April 10, 2025 at 4:40 PM
Every House Republican and 4 Democrats just voted to force every married woman who changed her name to pay $130 for a passport just to exercise her freedom to vote. Take all the time you need to think about that.

I DID see it coming. That's why I jumped off the conservative ship in the 1980s, as this author was jumping onto it, after I realized my foolishness in voting for Reagan.

It's so cute how you think it's just so easy to hand over $80 for a subscription on SS survivor benefits of $17k a year, good lord.

Penguin eggs are cheaper but the Trump administration would rather spend $1 billion importing eggs from the EU.
April 3, 2025 at 6:46 PM
Gonna be loads of fun as an unemployable 66yo widow with no children trying to stay alive in Trump's economy on $17,280k/y survivor SS benefits.

Scott Perry, my rep, doesn't care what I have to say and, it turns out, neither does Fetterman.

Speaking of eliminating waste and fraud, Trump's first term golf outings alone cost taxpayers $151 million. Since the beginning of his 2nd term just 70 days ago, his golf outings alone have cost taxpayers $26 million or more than $336k daily. Where is DOGE?
