Baldur's Gate 3 fancomic. Gale and Aldiirn lean over a barrelstalk mushroom filled with hearty soup heating up over the campfire. Gale inquires to Aldiirn, "How are you feeling now that you've reacquired your salve?" "It will take a sleep or two to feel myself again, but it's a relief just to have a supply, even a temporary one," Aldiirn answers while stirring the soup with a large spoon, "I'm sure we'll find more as we go." Gale leans in closer, attention focused on Aldiirn. "What stops you from cultivating it alongside the rest of your mushrooms?" "It's too sun sensitive. Carrying around a blackout enclosure means less room for client cargo," Aldiirn answers. "Must be tedious returning underground to replenish," Gale says. "The salve keeps well if it's prepared properly. It's not much trouble at all!" Aldiirn smiles, eyes on the soup he's stirring. Gale leans over Aldiirn's shoulder, almost touching, and says, "Have you considered changedance?" Aldiirn freezes in place, face painfully neutral and his grip on the spoon tight. Gale goes on, "the popular notion may be that changedance permanently transforms male-born into female-born--" But Aldiirn cuts off Gale's infodump with his own, emanating a menacing aura despite his customer service smile. "oh yes, so that anyone may join the upper levels of Eilistraee's clergy, but it can be easily reversed for those who don't wish to change full time!" Gale "A reversal? Does that differ from the--" "Very different, but both were devised as restrictions eased during the spellplague era--" The two continue on, Aldiirn desperately leading the conversation away from himself as his grip on the long stir spoon gets tighter and tighter.

I painted Astarion using Gouache Acrylics. It's got a brown-red background and Astarion is supposed to look like he's sitting on warm colored pillows, but I don’t think I did a good job on that. Astarion is in his basic night time attire. He is leaning his cheek against his fist while reading a book one handed and his legs are crossed.
